The Socket is a component used for routing signals. It has an input on one side, and a conductive blue part on the other side. If the conductive blue part is touching the conductive blue part of another Socket, the two sockets will be able to transmit signals between them.

Behavior

When a socket's conductive blue part is touching another socket's conductive blue part, their inputs are linked as if connected by a wire, similarly to an open Relay.

This is used to build modular circuits, with plugs that can interface with each other.

Placement

The Peg can be placed in the center of a Circuit Board square, in the center of a Circuit Board edge, or on top of a Mount. Using Fine Placement, Sockets can also be placed at 4 additional spots in a board square, and at 2 additional spots on a board edge.
