Wiring
Wiring is a building mechanic that lets you connect wires between different components. Two components can be connected by clicking on the first input/output and then on the second one.
A very useful feature for wiring is Multi-Wire placing. It allows you to select an entire row of components and connect them to another row of components all at once.
The default way to place the Multi-Wire is the following:
- While holding Ctrl, select the first item and drag the selection to the last item.
- Release all keys. The selected items will become inputs and be highlighted in blue.
- Drag the mouse on the second row to make it the output.
Multi-Wire connection works in all combinations of items: one-to-one, one-to-many, many-to-one, and unequal. You can also use offsets to select only specific items in the row, for example to skip every second item. The default keys to increase/decrease the offset are e/q or mouse wheel up/down. Offset can be done after selecting the inputs or during the selection of outputs.
